Background Information: The Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) has recommended a change to Board Policy #1.803 – Tobacco-Free Schools. Electronic cigarettes and associated paraphernalia are prohibited in all of the school district's buildings and in all vehicles that are owned, leased or operated by the district. The Board’s current policy is included for your reference. Staff Recommendation: I recommend approval of the above-noted amendment to Board Policy #1.803 on the first reading. |
